Signs And Symptoms Of Leukemia

Leukemia is a form of blood cancer. This cancer leads to unusual development of white blood cells in the bone marrow. These blood cells don’t work like normal white blood cells but they do divide and grow like normal white blood cells and eventually crowd on the normal white cells. This leads in weakening the immune system and that is why it is not able to fight infections anymore. There are many symptoms of leukemia which can be observed by the person suffering from it. Let’s take a look at a few of them.

• Feeling of prolonged discomfort and illness
• Easily fatigued and tiredness

Out of all the symptoms mentioned above, there are many symptoms which might indicate some other disease or maybe noncancerous so it is highly recommended that even if any one of the symptoms are felt then immediately visit a doctor.

There are two types of leukemia that are observed among patients.
• Acute leukemia- Acute leukemia is the most common type of leukemia found in children. In this case the lymphoid cells start to grow rapidly. In myeloid leukemia, the myeloid cells increase at a faster rate
• Chronic leukemia- chronic lymphatic leukemia is a slow- growing type of cancer of lymphoid cells. It usually happens in adults. In other case, myeloid cancer cells start expanding.
Conclusion
Leukemia cancer is that form of cancer which spreads in blood and takes up the form of blood cancer. The two different types of leukemia cancer are quite different from each other but the symptoms might be same. If, in any case, you tend to feel any of the symptoms then do visit a doctor for proper diagnosis.
